The things I've been meaning to do...

Funny how you have an idea of something awesome in your head, then things like washing your dog, and cleaning your bathroom get in the way of them.

Paul and I have been living in Oxford, Ohio for almost a year now (which also incidentally means my birthday is right around the corner!). I have to say, when we decided to move to a little doohicky town of Oxford, Ohio, where the great attraction is the BTO downtown, it was a cry of desperation for anything GREEN. Living in Seoul, South Korea, one of the densest, most populated cities in the world, left the soul (haha) a little gray. Yeah, the bicycle friendly Han River park was great, the cleanest subway system in the world was great... but "Korea Sparkling" it was not. Something in your soul kind of withers away when the urban park of choice is filmed with hazy smog over the horizon.

The hazy brownish sky just beyond the bicycle track there? That's not the sunset. Also that mountain? Not that far away. Gross. Also, the lack of vegetation. Seoul has it charms... but also definitely its drawbacks.

So Oxford. Wow. What a change. The moment I moved into the apartment. I sat down on the deck and looked at the sky. For hours.

I mean LOOK. :) Trees framing the crystal blue sky while fluffy white clouds go by? Yes, please.

Paul and I have 1 more year here in good 'ol Ox. I didn't do much in the first year, so I'm planning on doing a lot more this year to take advantage of what the country has to offer. An adventure everyday? Probably not. Growing our own food and watching lambs grow on farms? Heck yes.
